We are a team of passionate humanitarian aid workers who have moved from the field to behind our computers to amplify the impact of our humanitarian partners through volunteer connections, well-being support, and organisational development. Our aim is to responsibly support refugees across the European migration route.
We partner with over 40 humanitarian organisations across 10 countries supporting displaced people. Our network works in the UK, many European countries and Lebanon. Through our recruitment program, we provide our partners with well-prepared and context-conscious volunteers who fit their needs. We build our partners capacity by providing training and supporting their admin teams, and we support our volunteers through guidance and mental health support along their journey.
Through every volunteer we place with an organisation we are changing the narrative about volunteering, preventing volunteer-tourism and increasing the awareness our communities have about the refugee crisis in Europe and Lebanon, so that individuals really understand what they are doing when they volunteer and why.
Our newest programme, Indigo Mentors, offers corporate companies with an exceptional opportunity to improve employee engagement.
Indigo Mentors is an opportunity for company employees to utilise their volunteer days in a thoughtful way that will yield high impact and improve skills, well-being, and engagement. Employees can provide remote mentorship support, training and consultations to charities in the humanitarian sector that need knowledge and guidance to further their mission. It is a unique opportunity for your employees to develop technical skills and further their personal and career growth. Indigo's expert knowledge of our charity partners and years of experience in recruitment ensures your employees will be matched to aid real life projects on their field of work, within charities that will truly benefit from their expertise.
The primary goal of this project is to support and enhance the development, growth and sustainability of grassroots organisations by offering tailored mentorship programs that will help them improve and create invaluable connections with businesses.
"Volunteers are the most important thing for organisations like us, the small, grassroots organisations. Without volunteers, we cannot operate" - Toula, founder of Offene Arme, Indigo grassroots partner
