Shaya Ehteshamzad - Class 2025

Shaya Ehteshamzad began nurturing her artistic skills professionally in 2020, gradually cultivating a visual expression that is personally resonant. Her experience in the IB Visual Arts program marked a turning point in her approach, guiding her beyond merely experimenting with techniques toward making pieces grounded in her lived experience. She developed a coherent body of work that delves into themes such as memory, belonging, identity, geography, cultural transition, and emotionally profound human bonds. 

She believes art is not merely a craft, but a language through which intimate narratives, often difficult to express in words, can be communicated. This translation of feeling into form serves as a means of portraying multidimensional, complex internal landscapes.
