Bridging Generations: ACS Athens Parents & Alumni Soirée

More than 50 members of the community came together to Reconnect, Reminisce, and Kick Off the new academic year — united as one ACS Athens family.

On Friday, October 10, 2025, the Main Conference Room of the Administration Building was filled with warmth, conversation, and connection as more than 50 members of the community came together to Reconnect, Reminisce, and Kick Off the new academic year — united as one ACS Athens family. A heartfelt gathering that brought together new ACS Athens families, alumni families, alumni faculty & staff, and the Student Ambassadors of the ACS Athens Global Team to celebrate the enduring legacy and bright future of our school community.

The event began with a warm welcome from Dr. Peggy Pelonis, President of ACS Athens, who set the tone for the evening by highlighting the importance of community and shared purpose. She then introduced Pascal Apostolides, Chairman of the Board of Trustees and proud alumni parent, who spoke about the strength of the ACS Athens network across generations.

Following their remarks, John Papadakis, Director of Institutional Advancement, Alumni Affairs & Media Productions, presented the ACS Athens Global Alumni Community and its powerful networking platform, emphasizing its role in keeping our alumni connected across the globe.

Lydia Skampavia, Alumni Outreach Coordinator, introduced the Global Team Student Ambassadors, who volunteer their time and passion to school initiatives and serve as the next generation of alumni leaders. She reminded the audience that, “One day, your children will be in their position. We are a community — ACS Athens is our home base. Although we are 80 years old and spread across the world, we share one thing in common: ACS Athens. And we always come back to give back to the community that shaped who we are today.”

The atmosphere was truly special — new families were warmly welcomed, alumni families reconnected with alumni faculty, and Student Ambassadors shared heartfelt reflections on the lasting impact of an ACS Athens education and community, while other ambassadors were capturing memories and comments of the participants on camera throughout the evening.

With light bites, refreshing drinks, and joyful conversations — and even the youngest future ACS’ers joining in — the soirée was a beautiful reminder of what makes ACS Athens truly unique: a shared history, meaningful connections, and a bright future ahead.

As ACS Athens steps into another exciting academic year, the school community celebrates not only the past but also the growing network of generations who continue to shape and strengthen the ACS Athens story — together.
