From ACS Athens to Entrepreneur and Music Educator: The Journey of Irini Emanoilidis-Jennings

Now Featured in the ACS Athens Global Alumni Business Directory

We are proud to welcome Irini Emanoilidis-Jennings, Class of 1992, to the ACS Athens Global Alumni Business Directory. A passionate educator, accomplished pianist, and successful entrepreneur, Irini has turned her love for music into a thriving business while staying deeply rooted in the values she cultivated during her years at ACS Athens.

Irini’s Journey from Istanbul to Athens to Indiana

Born in Istanbul, Turkey, Irini's life journey spans continents and cultures. After spending her final two years of high school at ACS Athens (1990–1992), she left her mark in the Academy classrooms and hallways, as she is remembered by her fellow classmates and teachers, as a kind, driven, and academically dedicated student. A defining moment during her time at ACS Athens was being unexpectedly inducted into the National Honor Society, a memory she holds close to this day.  To enter the National Honor Society was and still is one of the highest honors in a student's life in high school.

In her senior year at ACS Athens she started attending the University of Indianapolis - Athens Campus, later transferring to the main campus in the U.S.   There, she earned a triple major in Psychology, Music, and Philosophy, followed by a Master’s Degree in Piano Pedagogy from Butler University.

Building a Legacy in Music

Irini’s professional journey is nothing short of inspiring, from a triple major of Psychology, Philosophy and Music, she found her true calling, her passion and love for Music.   What began as a passion for piano evolved into the creation of Legacy Music Lessons, a music education business she founded and manages in Westfield, Indiana. Her team of instructors provides in-home and institutional music instruction throughout the Indianapolis area.

Some of her career highlights include:

  • Founding Legacy Music Lessons, providing quality music education for nearly two decades

  • Being featured on Fox59’s “Female Focus”, highlighting women in business

  • Receiving the Philosophy Department Award for academic excellence

  • Serving as Adjunct Faculty and a music festival judge at the University of Indianapolis

  • Presenting a graduate thesis on preventive techniques for pianists with performance-related injuries

Inspired by ACS Athens, Empowering Others

Irini credits ACS Athens for instilling the foundational values that helped shape her character and future. The school’s emphasis on quality education, diversity, and global awareness empowered her to adapt to life’s challenges, build resilience, and pursue her goals with confidence.  It made her think outside the box and provided the confidence and courage to pursue her passions.

Today, she dreams of launching an “International Music Alliance Program”, connecting her students with young musicians around the world for cross-cultural collaboration and creativity. With ACS Athens' global alumni network, she believes this vision can become a reality.

Giving Back to ACS Athens

Irini is eager to give back to the ACS Athens community by mentoring current students and young alumni interested in music education and entrepreneurship. From seminars on piano pedagogy to guidance on launching and managing a music studio, she is committed to sharing her expertise with the next generation.

Irini Emanoilidis - Jennings is a proud ACS Athens Alumni, her story is a testament to the power of passion, perseverance, and global citizenship, values that ACS Athens continues to cultivate in all its students. Welcome to the Business Directory, Irini and we wish you the best in the launching of the “International Music Alliance Program”.
