On Saturday, August 29, 2026, ACS Athens Global Alumni held its first-ever alumni gathering in Canada. The venue was Soula Modern Greek Cuisine, in the heart of Toronto's Greektown on Danforth Avenue.
Alumni came from across the Greater Toronto Area and Montreal, representing classes from 1979 to 1998. It was an evening of connection, memories, and conversation, with a distinctly Greek flair: live bouzouki in the background, excellent Greek food and wine, and discussions that carried on well into the evening.
The gathering was hosted by Dr. Peter Papageorgiou, Class of 1993. Peter is an Ambassador of ACS Athens Global Alumni, a member of the ACS Athens Global Advisory, and leader of the Entrepreneurs Group. He welcomed guests on behalf of the global alumni community and explained how alumni can connect, participate in, and contribute to the goals and vision of ACS Athens.
Peter also introduced the ACS Athens Global Business Directory, the Entrepreneurs Group, and the Art & Literature Collective. The introduction gave attendees ways to reconnect with fellow graduates and stay involved with the wider ACS Athens community.
Above all, the evening was a chance for alumni to meet one another, trade memories and experiences from their years at ACS Athens, and discover the growing global network waiting for them.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in Toronto, and to Peter for bringing our Canadian alumni together. We hope this is the first of many.
